Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone!

Have you had a lovely Christmas this year?????

We had a great Christmas in Avignon with Renaud's family.

As usual, There was so many food and drinks, and also this year I cooked sushi and British game terrine for the party. I knew that I shouldn't eat too much starters and not to drink too much Champagne but as Japanese person, I couldn't ignore the sushi, and couldn't say no to another glass of champagne either. And of course before the main course arrived, I was almost full. By the time the desserts were served, which were delicious home made Bush de Noel, not only chocolate, also chestnuts and apple comport...... I couldn't bear to see.........................mistake!!!

I was so excited to see all those food and keep coming champagne and wine, I forgot to take the pictures.

Sorry, if you are curious to see Renaud's mum's beautiful foods, maybe next year, I might be able to calm myself down a bit.

On Christmas day, Thomas was so happy because he has got the present he wanted from Papa Noel. He was working so hard to be a good boy last a few months to get a present from Santa.

And then, finally He has a blue electric motor bike. well done!!!

For us, we had the Nintendo Wii. I imagine so many peoples spent their Christmas day with Nintendo Wii all around world, we played Wii sports all day on the Christmas day too.

Personally, I can live without any TV game and I was not keen to get any of those but some how

I suggested this Wii. Actually This is very good fun. I am into Tennis and Thomas is good at Golf, Renaud is good at everything. Cheeky!! I am now keen to get a Wii fitness.

well.... you know the reason.

This is not the first Christmas in France for me but it was the first Christmas as French resident. I feel more relax and happy to be in France.

The Christmas fete still continue. I will enjoy myself. even more.

メリークリスマス

みなさん、楽しいクリスマスを過ごされましたか？？？？

私たちも、クリスマスイブはアビニヨン近郊に住むのレノーのママのお宅で過ごしました。

いつものように、たくさんの料理とドリンク。その上今年は私のお手製の寿司とゲームテリーヌが前菜に加わって、一段と盛りだくさん。たくさんのコースがあるから、あまりたくさんの前菜をたべたり、飲んだりしてはダメって、わかってはいたものの、日本人として、寿司に無視はできないし、シャンペンのお代わりにもNOとは言えない性分なので、結局メインコースが運ばれる前にはお腹がほぼ満腹状態。アルコール度も絶頂期。ママのデザート、これがまたお手製のブッシュ　ド　ノエル。フランスのクリスマスのデザートで普通のチョコレートの物だけでなく、栗とリンゴの物まで！！．...............が来ることには、食べ物を直視さえ出来ない状態。...............また、やってしまった!!!

しかも、あまりのクリスマスの興奮に写真を撮ることも忘れてしまいました。レノーのママのとても素晴らしい料理に興味がある方、来年はきっと自分自身を落ち着かせることが出来ると思うので、来年まで待ってね。

クリスマスの日。トマは超ご機嫌。ずーと欲しがっていた念願のプレゼントが手に入ったのですから。この日のためにトマはケナゲに、何ヶ月もGOOD BOYになろうとしてがんばっていました。

トマの念願のプレゼントとは

青い電動バイク。（実は仮面ライダーのようなバイクがほしかったらしい）レノーのママが購入してくれました。

よくがんばったね。　　ということで。

自分たちには、任天堂のWII。世界中でたくさんの人たちがクリスマスの日をこのWIIで過ごすんだろうなーと思いつつ、私たちも、今年はWII　SPORTですごしました。私はテニスに夢中。トマはゴルフが上手で、レノーのなんでもこなしてました。にくいやつだ。

個人的にはテレビゲーム、無くても生きていけるタイプの私ですが、なぜか今年はこのWIIが気なって、レノーに提案。でも結構イケテルかも。今度はWII　FITNESSを購入しようかと思ってます。理由は、、、、ご想像のとおりです。トホ。

フランスのクリスマスは初めてではないけど、フランスに住むようになってからははじめてのクリスマス。なんとなく例年以上にリラックスできて、幸せを感じました。

皆さんも、素敵なクリスマスを過ごされたことを祈ります。

Panic

I am in shock today.

Lost Renaud's credit card..........................................., yes, it wasn't even mine.

I was shopping in a busy super market and when I was supposed to pay at the till, I couldn't find the credit card. oh---sugar-----------!!!!

I don't know what really happened, maybe I just dropped it. It was in my pocket.

I was panicked and heard something from behind me,

Thomas started singing

" It's SAD, so SAD............bla bla bla situati-----on-------"

Sweet boy.

クレジットカードなくした！

今日は、ショックなことがありました。

レノーのクレジットカードをなくしてしまいました。はい、自分のでは、なくて、レノーのカード。

買い物客でにぎわうスーパーマーケットで。

会計でお金を払おうとしたとき、ポケットにあるはずのカードが　ナイ！！！！！

とてもショックです。

なにが、どうしたのか見等もつかないけど、多分落としたんだと思う。

それにしても

ショックを受けてる私の後ろで、

エルトンジョンを歌ってました。

ニクイやつだ。

でも気分はクリスマス。笑

Snowing in venasque

Hello, Has your place had snow too?

We had about 2cm of snow today.

I didn't know but in UK and France it 's snowing everywhere.

Thomas's school shut around noon.

It is very quiet and beautiful.

The Problem is Venasque stands on a cliff and we have to go down the winded road.

If there is snow, I have no chance to go anywhere.

I hope it will be a nice day tomorrow and the snow will melt.

雪

ベナスクに雪がふりました。

といっても、イギリス、フランス、全土で雪が降りまくってます。

トマの学校も午前中で閉まりました。

とっても静かで、綺麗なんだけど．...............

問題は、この村は、崖の上に建っていて、どこに行くにも曲がりくねった道を降りていかなくてはいけません。雪が降ると、私はどこにもいけなくなってしまいます。

明日、天気が良くなって晴れて、雪が溶けてくれるといいナー。

Christmas market

Here, a little village in Provence, Venasque had the first Christmas market this year.
Apparently, they never had one before, everyone in Thomas's school were so curious for this big event.

For raising school fund, we baked cakes and sold them at a market.
On the day, it was very cold and light rain and foggy.
There were not many people in a market when I dropped off my cookies in the morning, and professional stands looked very lonely on the street.
At noon, the Mayor gave away hot wine for all and all of sudden people looked happier.
Christmas market was very quiet, the most successful stand was the school stand selling cake, coffee, and tea.

One big event of this market was the children's walk with lantern.
From the school to the square, Children and their parents including me and Thomas, walked together holding lantern. All children were actually very careful not to make a mess with candle lanterns, it was very sweet and everyone especially parents were so excited to see their children, including me!
It seems people in a little village had united at last with this small event and it was actually worth to see this market at the end.

Marches de noel(Christmas markets) are everywhere in France at this moment and normally attract more people and more stands. It is indeed a very small market but I feel like we participated a bit and feel more attached.

Only 1 week to go for Christmas 2009.

クリスマスマーケット　イン　ヴェナスク

小さな村のVENASQUEで初めてのクリスマスマーケットがありました。

今まで村でマーケットを開いたことがないらしく、学校のお母さん方の間では、ちょっとした話題。

学校の資金集めの為にお母さんたちはケーキを焼いて、マーケットのスタンドで売りました。

その日、ものすごく寒い朝、しかも,かすかに雨がふり、オマケに霧。

午前中、スタンドに自分の作ったクッキーを持っていった時は人通りも少なく、通りに出ているお店のスタンドなどは、とてもさみしそう。　でも12時に町長がみんなにホットワインを振舞うと、たちまちみんな明るくなってました。ホッ

それでもやっぱりクリスマスマーケットはとても静かで、多分一番にぎわってたのは、内輪でケーキにコーヒーやお茶を売ってにぎわう学校のスタンドでした。

その後暗くなり始めて、マーケットの一大イベントである、子供たちのランタンウォーク。

学校からマルシェを通ってスクエアーまで、ランタンを持って子供たちとその親たちがみんなで練り歩くだけなんだけど、これが結構楽しかった。

子供たちはもちろんおおはりきり。ろうそくの入ったランタンを大事にそーっと手で持ちながら歩く姿は本当にかわいらしい。トマもとても楽しかったみたい。

このイベントのおかげで、このマルシェもやっと活気付き、やっとみんなが盛り上がりました。

この時期、フランスの各地でマルシェ　ド　ノエル　といって、クリスマスマーケットが開催されます。本当なら、もっとたくさんの人とたくさんのスタンドで盛り上がるところですが、このマーケットはとても小さく、内輪で盛り上がったマーケットでした。でも自分たちが少しでも参加して、家族全員で楽しんで、とてもローカルを身近に感じたクリスマスマーケットでした。

クリスマスまであと1週間！！！

Olive oil a La Basted Bleue

Here is our first super Pure Olive Oil from our garden.

At the end, I picked 58kg of olives!!!
and it made 10.8 litres of extra virgin olive oil.
There is more olives left on the trees but I really have had enough. I couldn't bare it, my shoulders had suffered a lot with this hard labour.

Our super pure olive oil has a strong olive smell.
I never smelt olive oil as strong as mine.
The colour is deep green, it is still cloudy and it is supposed to settle and make a clear colour.
The taste is a bit bitter, I think it is too bitter for the salad dressing.
We decided to mix it with sunflower oil to make it milder.


I have to say......I am very proud..............well done ME!!

By the way, I found a way to use this pure olive oil,
It is make up remover.
I used it and it is really mild and cleans your skin nicely.
you don't need moisture cream after you wash your face,

wow.....I feel good!!!



オリーブオイル　

家の庭で取れたオリーブからオリーブオイルが出来ました。

結局、５．８ｋｇのオリーブをこの手で摘み、１０．８リッターの超ピュアなオリーブオイルが出来ました。
まだ、たくさんのオリーブの実が木に残ってたけど、これ以上できないと断念。超過酷な労働の為に肩があがらなくなりました。


さて、さて、この超ピュアなオリーブオイル。
香りがとても強い。こんな強いオリーブオイルは私も始めてだ。
色は、まだ曇ってる。これが、もう少しすると下に落ちてくるらしい。そうするとお店に売ってるような綺麗な透明のオリーブオイルになるんだって。
味は、ちょっと苦みがつよい。　正直いって、サラダのドレッシングにするには強すぎるので、ひまわりの種油と割って使っています。

我ながら、、、、、とってもうれしい。　がんばったぞ！ゆうこ！！！


このオリーブオイルの新しい使い方を見つけた！それは、メークアップリムーバー。
とっても肌にやさしく、綺麗に落ちるきがします。
洗顔のあとクリームつけなくてもしっとりしてる。　

うーん。いい感じ！！！

Self healing power

hello!

I would like to talk about " self healing power"

Because I was amazed by Saya’s healing power.

I noticed she was not well because her nose was blocked and had a runny nose like a fountain.

Normally after saying good night I leave her in her cot and close the door, and then she falls asleep by herself, but she kept crying and crying unusually that night.

I tried to give her comfort but it didn't work.

She didn't have fever and she was not hungry,

she just wanted to sleep.

At the end I let her cry..... and it stopped........

Around 5 o'clock in the morning, she started crying again, and I went to check on her.

I realised she sweated so much and I could feel the moist from her sleeping bag.

Her neck was still sweaty and made her sheets also wet.

Maybe I put too many clothes or maybe she had a fever after I went to bed.

I was upset with myself. I thought she suffered so much.

then............

She was very hungry, maybe thirsty too.

She grabbed my pyjama with her little hands and pulled towards her to get my breast,

just like she wanted to say

I can't wait! just give me your blxxxxy milk, NOW!!!

After she was satisfied, she fell asleep again.

She was fast asleep. I decided to leave her alone without changing her clothes.

Around noon, I heard her voice from her room, singing like agoo----glu-glu.

She was fine!!!

Her runny nose was gone too.

I gave her nice warm bath after.

She was happy all day.

When I think back, I did very little for her.

She suffered this nasty cold for only a day.

I heard babies have very good self healing power, I think I believe that too.

but there is another way of thinking...................

I was talking to Renaud about Saya next day with excitement.

He said to me,

Maybe it wasn't cold, could be TEETHING!

..........................???......................... I see-----------!!!

Anyway, Saya is fine. Thank you for your warm message for her.

治癒力

さやちゃんが素晴らしい、治癒力を見せてくれたので、一筆しておきます。

先日、さやちゃんがとてもすごい鼻水を朝から出してました。嫌な予感。

その夜、熱もないし、お腹もすいてないのに、コットの中でずーと泣き続けてました。

結局、お手上げ状態だったので、早く寝てくれるのを祈りながら、そのままにしておきました

すると、しばらくしてあきらめたのか、寝てくれたようです。

早朝、5時ごろまた泣き出したので様子を見に行くと、

すごい量の汗。

さやちゃんの寝ぐるみまでしめっていました。

首の後ろもまだ汗をたくさんかいていて、シーツまで濡れています。

きゃー。なんて事！！ほっといて泣かせておいたことを後悔。

もしかしたら、服を着させすぎたのかなーとか、知らない間に熱がでたのかなー。とかいろいろ考えていると、

ぐいーーーーと私の寝巻きの襟をひっぱる小さな手が。

どうでもいいから、ミルクをくれーーと叫んでいるようでした。

ミルクを飲んで満足し、また眠りに入っていったので、起こすとかわいそうだと思って着替えもさせず、またそのままにしておきました。

結局その日は12時ごろ起きてきて、超ご機嫌。グーグーガーがー、コットの中で歌をうたってました。

もう、大丈夫。

滝のような鼻水も止まってました。

その後は暖かいお風呂に入れてあげました。

さわやかなお顔。

その日は一日中またにこにこなさやちゃんに戻ってました。

それにしても、私がしてあげたことなんて、ほとんどないのに、こんなに早く回復して超ビックリ。

あかちゃんには生まれつき、つよい治癒力がある。と聞いたことはあったけど、

私も同感せずにはいられません。

ちなみに他にもこんな意見が。

レノーにさやちゃんがすごい回復力だったことなどをワクワクして話すと、

彼はこういいました。

それって、風邪じゃなくて、ティージング（歯が生え始めて赤ちゃんが夜泣き出す症状）なんじゃない！？

うーーん・・・・・・・・もしかして、そうかも！？

まあ、なには、ともあれ、さやちゃんは元気になりました。よかった。よかった。

Japanese Tea pot

Hello!

This morning, I received a parcel from Japan.

It was a TEA POT, A cute little TEA POT!!! from Japan.

Not many people know that I love TEA POTS, but I do.

Anyway, this lovely Japanese tea pot, called MINO YAKI,

I love this form and earthy colour.

It looks calm and warm.

How do you think? It is cute, isn't it?

I hope this tea pot will be my good company for many years.

Excuse me, I have to go to brew my tea with my special tea pot.

今朝、日本から荷物が届きました。

箱の中身は　急須。

この前たまたま日本のサイトを見ていて見つけたのです。

人目惚れでした。

ちなみに美濃焼だそうです。ご存知ですか？名前は覚えてるんだけど、どこだったけー？？？

初めての日本からのインターネットショッピングでしたが、

とても丁寧で、すばやい対応には感動させられました。感謝。

こんな、フランスの田舎まで、たったの4日で届きました。なんと！

それにしても、この急須の美しいこと。

深い土の色と、飾り気の無い無垢な形が気に入っています。

日本の文化のすばらしさ、日本の誇りですねー。

さあ、いまからおいしいお茶をいただくとします。

いつ、日本に帰れるやら．．．．．．．トホ

ちなみに 写真ではにこにこな　爽ちゃんですが昨日から風邪を引いて鼻水が滝のように出ています。

Olive picking

Hello, my friends!
It is December already. Have you been to Toysrus yet?
I am very busy picking olives.
I should have done this in November because it is very cold outside now.
There is 5 big olive trees in our garden, and I am supposed to take the olives to the mill to make olive oil.
They say 5kg of olives makes 1 litre of oil, it costs 2.5 Euro per 1 litre.
No wonder not many people are keen to do this donkey work, if you go to Tesco, you can get it cheaper.
I hope our olives make the Best Olive oil ever after all my hard work.
My arms are seriously in pain, and it is not finished yet!
I will let you know how good my olive oil is......

もう12月ですね。トイザラスにはもう行ったかな？

私はオリーブ摘みに追われる日々。
11月中にしておけばよかったと後悔。12月に入って、急に気温が下がって、外は寒い！
家の庭には5本の大きなオリーブの木があります。このオリーブの実をミルに持っていって、オリーブオイルに変えてもらうのです。５ｋｇのオリーブの実から1リットルのオリーブオイルが出来る。ミルに払うコストは２．５ユーロ。
ということは.......テスコなんかのスーパの方が安くつく！？　どうりで、たくさんの人があんなに出来たオリーブに見てみぬ振りをするわけだ。

こうなったら、うちのオリーブが超上質のオリーブオイルを作ることを願うばかり。
ちなみに、今のところ3本のオリーブの木から約３０ｋｇ以上のオリーブを摘みおえました。
ほんと、重労働で腕が上がりません。

どんなオリーブオイルが出来たかは、後のおたのしみ！
