la fete des amourex a Roquemaure

We have been to a little village called Roquemaure.

They have a celebration for St. Valentine every year.

Many people wear old clothes and march through the village, there are many organ players too.

People were singing songs with these organs everywhere.

It was a bit strange because everything there was OLD. Another way to say is Antique, of course. Many stalls on market made a nice atmosphere too

What amazed me in this village was those people who are wearing the old costume are not special actor, actually they come from the village wearing their grand, grand........ parents clothes from their garage. They are old, young, also baby in an antique buggy.

It was a very cold and windy day but many lovers include us enjoyed this special day.

Thomas bought a candy floss, and it was mega size!!!

恋人たちのお祭り a ROQUEMAURE　

アビニヨン近郊にある、ロカモウレという、ちいさな村で、バレンタインデイにちなんだお祭りあるというので、バレンタインデイの日曜日に行ってきました。http://www.avignon-et-provence.com/saint-valentin/fete-amoureux-roquemaure/index.html

ロカモウレという村は、ワイン畑に囲まれた小さな村で、こんなにたくさんの人でにぎわうなんてビックリするくらい地味なところです。

たくさんの人たちはうれしそうに、古い昔ながらの衣装を着て、町を練り歩いていました。たくさんのオルガン弾きもあちこちでオルガンを弾いて、周りでみんなが歌ってます。なにもかもが古い、よく言えば、アンティークで、不思議な感じ。たくさんのマーケットも出てお祭りムードを盛り上げてました。

もっとも驚いたのは、どうやら、この服を着て歩いてる人たちは、雇われた役者さんではなく、村の住人が蔵から出してきたおじいさんや、ひいおじいさんの服を着て、練り歩いていると言うこと。どうりで、お年寄りから、アンティークのバギーにのった赤ちゃんまで、色とりどり。

この日はとっても寒くて、風邪も冷たい日でしたが、たくさんの恋人たちは（わたしたちも！）この特別な日を楽しみました。

ついでに、トマの買った綿あめが巨大で、超感激。

Pancake day

There was the pan cake day this year on 2nd of Feb in France.

I am always amazed how people remember this amazing(?) day!!

Normally, like Renaud says "It's pancake day! Let's eat pancakes!"

and people like me go " really? already? not again????"

We enjoyed French pancakes for lunch and dessert.

In that afternoon, Renaud's mum arrived with a lot of crepes.

Her crepes were wafer thin and you can actually see something through it.

A......nd , had rum in it to flavour.

Thomas's comment; Mamie's crepe is too thin, I have to eat more....!!!

Nice one!!

パンケーキ　デイ

2月2日はフランスのパンケーキデイでした。

毎年この時期になると、

かならず誰かが、だいたいレノーなんだけど。

今日はパンケーキデイだ！とすごくうれしそうに言って来て　だいたい私のような人が、

え、そうなの？もうそんな時期？またー？などといってるんだよね。

絶対わすれさられないパンケーキデイ。

我が家もランチをパンケーキで楽しみました。

その午後、レノーのママがフレンチ風にクレープをもって登場。

レノーのママのクレープは超薄い。冗談じゃなく、透けて見えます。

そして、ラムのフレーバー入り。

トマのコメント。　マミーのクレープは薄すぎて、もっとたべなくちゃ！だって。

上手すぎる！！！

Well come to our world!!!

It's February already.

It was awful weather from last night. There was strong wind with big noise of flying chair outside. Also heavy rain too.

Saya must have caught a cold. She has high temperature too.

The baby in her age starts loosing anti body system from mother and easy to catch a cold.

She hasn't slept well since yesterday.

She keeps waking up and crying for me. oh--my sweet girl!!!!

This afternoon, after I came back from school for Thomas, I felt a bit tired from lack of sleep.

And Saya started winging. I decided to give her something, something to make her happy.

Chocolate.........!!!!!

It did work! She liked it! It was a kind of biscuit called wafer.

Who doesn't like chocolate wafer?

She had a tiny bit from Thomas and she enjoyed her new world!!!!

It made her feel better and she is fast asleep now.

Not many mothers want to give the chocolate to their baby, so don't tell anyone what I have done today.

Saya is happy this is the most important for me at this moment.

Sleep.......Slee---p my little angel-----!!!

私たちの世界へ、ようこそ！！！

もう2月ですね。あっという間です。

昨日の晩からひどい天候でした。外はミストラルという、ものすごく強い風で、庭の椅子が吹き飛んでる音まで聞こえました。ヒョエーーー。きっとこの為のシャッターなんだー。と納得

雨もかなり降ったようです。

さやちゃんが風邪を引いています。昨日から熱もあります。

さやちゃんくらいの年齢の赤ちゃんは、お母さんからもらった抗体を失う時期で、よく風を引くといいます。

昨日からなかなか寝てくれません。寝たかナーと思ったらすぐ起きて、私を求めます。

かわいいんだけど。。。。。。困ったもんだ。私も寝不足。

今日の午後、トマを学校から迎えに行った後、私はお疲れモード。

さやちゃんが泣き始めました。どうにかせねば。どうにかさやちゃんのご機嫌をとらなきゃ。

そうだ！　チョコレート！！

チョコレートといってもウエハース。チョコレートが間にはさまってるやつ。

そんな、ウエハースが嫌いな人なんて、いない！　よね？？？

さやちゃんに、トマの食べていたチョコレートウェハースを、ちょこっとだけおすそ分け。

さやちゃん、新しい世界を発見したらしい。うーーん。ミャン、ミャーーン！！！

とても満足したらしく、そのあとはすやすやと寝てくれてました。ほっ。

まあ、あまりチョコレートを赤ちゃんに食べさせるお母さんはいないと思うので、とりあえず、今日のことはナイショでお願いします。笑

今のところさやちゃんがHAPPYであれば、それでいい！と思ってまーす。

さやちゃん、魅惑のチョコレートの世界にようこそ！！！もっと大きくなったら、もっとたくさん食べれるからねー。

Mistral and Sunshine

Since the last snow, we had the whole package with the weather in Provence.

It was freezing cold for 2days. Everything was frozen completely.

Then we had a storm with heavy rain. This melted most of the snow from the road.

And yesterday, we had a stro-------ng wind called Mistral which is a wind from the North.

This is very cold and strong wind and makes many people have a headache.

Good thing about this mistral is that it keeps clouds away.

So, we had a nice sunshine finally from this lunch time and the thick icy cold snow in the garden finally melted away.

Anyway, it seems all gone now.

I feel very relieved.

Today, Thomas didn't go to school because he was TIRED!!!

I thought it is not a good excuse but I let him stay home at the end.

At this moment, Saya is trying to get a paper to put in her mouth like a sheep. she might be eating it a bit....lol.

Thomas is playing with playmobil from Christmas present.

I am cooking slow roasted pork belly for dinner.

Renaud is working hard as usual.

Yes, it is back to normal now.

ミストラルとお日様

先日の雪の後からずっと、プロバンス地方はあれに、荒れた天気でした。

雪の後、2日間凍って、全ては氷と化してしまいました。その後強い雨をともなう嵐。

この雨が道路の雪を殆ど溶かしてくれましたがよっぽど凍ったようで庭にはまだまだ白い雪。

そして昨日はミストラルという強風。北から吹いてくる風です。

このミストラルはとても強くて、とても冷たいのが特徴。たくさんの人に頭痛を起こさせます。

いい点は風が雲を追い払ってくれること。

おかげで、今日のお昼頃からさんさんと太陽が照り始めました。

きーーーんと凍った雪もやっと溶けてくれました。

なんだかほっとしています。

ちなみに今日トマは学校をやすみました。つかれた！！！んだって。

なんか変な理由ですが、結局休ませました。初めての事です。

さて、さて、

現在、さやちゃんは紙探しに夢中。羊のように紙を口にいれるのが好きなんです。食べてるかどうかって？たぶん、ちょっと位は食べてると思う。笑

トマは一人でいい子に疲れも見せずに（？）クリスマスにもらったプレイモビルであそんでます。

私はという、夕食の豚の角煮を料理中。

レノーはがんばって仕事してます。

やっといつもに戻ったような気がします。

写真はきーーんと凍ったVenasqueの村に散歩に行ったときに見つけた、ツララ　です。崖の下一面にぶら下がるツララは圧巻でした。

Snow again!

We had snow again. This time it was heavier and temperature is colder.

Thomas's school was closed on Friday.

We are enjoying more than ever.

It is so quiet. I bet no one come to the village, also no one can go out either.

There is plenty food in the fridge and many drinks left from Christmas.

When we are tired to play outside, we play Wii inside.

It's party time!!!

雪がまたふりました。

今回の雪はもっと深くて、気温もぐっと低く感じます。

トマの学校は金曜日から閉まりました。

私たちにとっては、週末と言うこともあって、家族水入らずでとっても楽しんでます。

とっても静か。きっと、だれも村に登ってくる人はいないし、村から出る人もいないでしょう。

冷蔵庫にはたくさんの食べ物があるし、クリスマスの残りの飲み物もふんだんにあるし......

外で雪遊びに疲れたら、今度は家の中でWiiで遊んでます。

パーティーです。

Lacher de Ballons

It was a freezing cold morning. We went out for the event of "lacher de ballons".

It means let the balloon go!!!

All children in Venasque got a balloon each with a named letter attached. They let it go into the sky all together.

I don't know the real meaning of this event. But I made my wish for this balloon just like we do it in Japan.

If you are lucky, you will get the letter back in a couple of weeks or months from somewhere.

After all the balloons gone, we went back to the school and had champagne and canapes from the Mayor of Venasque.

There was a nice atmosphere and we enjoyed it very much especially the glass of champagne!!!

This picture is the icicles from the cliff of Venasque slowly melting and making a strange ice Sculpture by the road once again. I have noticed there was many icicles all around the cliff.

No wonder it has been so cold these days.

今日のベナスクはしびれるような寒い日でした。

私たちは町の行事である

LACHER　DE　BALLONS　に出かけました。

意味は、風船を飛ばす！！！です。

ベナスクに住む子供たちそれぜれ風船が渡され、それにカードがくっついていて、名前と住所がかかれてあります。その風船をいっせいに空に飛ばす！という行事。

本来の意味はわかりませんが、とりあえず、日本式に飛んでいく風船に願いを込めてみました。

何週間か何ヵ月後かに、もしかしたらカードがが帰ってくるかも！？

その後、学校にもどって町長からシャンペンと軽いつまみが振舞われ、私たちは楽しいひと時を町の人たちと過ごしました。

写真は崖に出来たツララから水が落ちて、それが再び地面に氷の像を作っている様子です。

見ると崖の周りはツララだらけでした。

寒いはずだーねー。

Happy New Year 2010

Happy New Year 2010.

Thank you for your all support in 2009.

I wish all my friends in the world and our family in Japan and France will have a great year 2010!!

It was a thunder storm from the 1st of January in 2010 in South of France.

Very shaky start of the 2010.

Today was Epiphanie.

This means we eat the Galette.

This is the French tradition happened on the first Sunday of January normally.

This Galette is filled with a frangipane ( Almond paste)and a little figure hidden inside. The person who found this figure will get the crown and can decide who is going to make the Galette next year.

Thomas had found this figure, and he choose me who will make the Galette next year.

We had tasty homemade galette with sweet cider as usual.

Now, we are just chilling, our favorite time of all.

My boys are playing Wii as usual.

Saya is having long nap.

Seriously, I have no idea how to get back to normal routine from Monday.

明けまして、おめでとうございます。

2009年はいろいろお世話になりました。今年2010年もよろしくお願いします。

2010年が素晴らしい年になりますように。

雷がゴロゴロ、ピカピカ、と激しい年明けとなった南フランスのお正月。

今日は、さっそくエピファニーという毎年恒例の行事をしました。

この行事。みんなでガレットと呼ぶお菓子を食べます。

ガレットとは、一般的にシンプルな生地で作られたパイのようなお菓子のことを指します。

このエピファニーのガレットはフランジパンという、アーモンドペーストで作られていて、その中に小さな人形が隠されています。その人形を見つけた人がめでたく王冠をもらい、次の年に誰がガレットを作るか決めます。この人形、トマが見つけて王冠をゲット。もちろん私が来年ののガレットを作ることに。

今年もまたレノーのママのお手製のおいしいガレットと甘めのサイダー（リンゴのお酒）で満たされました。

今は家族4人でゆっくりしています。

レノーとトマはWIIで遊び、

さやちゃんは長いお昼寝。

真剣に、どうやったらもとの規則正しい生活に戻れるか分かりません。トマの学校、月曜日からなんだけど。
